The New Elder is a non-profit community dedicated to expanding the choices of elders or anyone who hopes to live long enough to become one. It was founded to help senior citizens, caregivers, and their care partners navigate through the choices available to each of us as we age.
Recognizing the obstacles faced by today’s senior citizens, as well as the pending tsuinami of 78 million aging Baby Boomers, The New Elder is a proactive force seeking to build awareness, challenge denial, and create self -sufficiency for those who choose to be active participants in their own elderhood.
The New Elder’s Blog has evolved into a virtual community working to develop and document better ways of combatting difficult issues related to aging. The resulting repository of ideas is a resource for managing each person’s unique situation while tapping into the experiences of those who have gone before.
Through research, education, and mentoring, The New Elder provides an alternative to future helplessness.
